【2022.1.26】An academic exchange MOU signed with College of Management, NCHU and Cornerstone Center for Academia-Industry Research

 On the afternoon of January 26, 2022, the MOU signing ceremony between College of Management, NCHU and K2BS, and between Cornerstone Center for Academia-Industry Research and CCBS was successfully held online.

 NCHU is a comprehensive university with 15,000 students on its main campus in Taichung, Taiwan, with Colleges of Liberal Arts, Science, Engineering, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Life Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Management, Law and Politics. The university is ranked among the top 500 universities in the world and one of the top 100 universities in Asia.

 College of Management, with which K2BS signed the MOU, currently has five departments (Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Management Information Systems, Accounting), two research graduate schools (Technology Management, Sports and Health Management) ,two management programs(Bachelor Program of Innovative Industry Management and Executive MBA) , as well as 4 research centers (Cornerstone Center for Academia-Industry Research, Center for Industrial Development Research, Center for Financial Risk Management and E-Commerce &Knowledge Economy Research Center). At present (February 2022), the College of Management has 80 Full-time faculty members and 2,042 students, including 1,190 in undergraduate programs, 761 in Master programs and 91 in Doctoral programs). The strength of the College lies in its EMBA program, approved by the Ministry of Education in 2001, with the aim of retraining high-level managers with extensive work experience under the concept of lifelong education.

 The signing of this MOU was tied to the preliminary contact between Prof. WANG Xiaoping and Prof. Ku-ho Lin, Associate Dean of College of Management and Director of Cornerstone Center for Academia-Industry Research. Prof. Lin led 23 EMBA graduate students to participate in an academic exchange session with K2BS during our Overseas Study Program (2017) lead trip to Taiwan; he also undertook a special lecture and moderated panel discussions for our Overseas Study Program in 2021(Online).

 The MOU signing ceremony was held online due to the continued spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants on the side of College of Management, NCHU were Dean. Ying-Jiun Hsieh; Associate Dean, Ku-ho Lin, also Director of Cornerstone Center for Academia-Industry Research; Deputy Director of the Center, Tzy-Wen Tang; Deputy Executive Director of the EMBA, Nai-Hui Su; and President of the EMBA Student Association, Yi-Huang Chen. Participants from K2BS were Dean Kazunari Kudo, Director WANG Xiaoping, Researcher Peng Lijun of CCBS, staffs of Administrative Office and Hiroyumi Tanaka, President of the Business Administration Research Association (President of the Alumni Association). Both sides agreed to actively promote substantive exchanges in the future, including mutual support for overseas training, joint research and educational exchanges, and mutual cooperation among alumni organizations. The signing ceremony was concluded in a friendly and cordial atmosphere.
